Generation by McKinsey Social Initiative offers a fast track IT Specialist training program and students receive a CompTIA A+ certification. Generation IT is a 12-week, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday-Friday, commitment. Classes are held at Innovation Depot, which is home to 105 companies - allowing students to interact daily with potential employers.
I am Bham
I am Bham offers coding bootcamps - short term, fast-track, intensive training - for Full Stack and Front End Web Development. I am Bham is a 14-week, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday, commitment. Classes are held at Innovation Depot, which is home to 105 companies - allowing students to interact daily with potential employers.
Jefferson State and Lawson State Community Colleges
Innovate Birmingham provides scholarships up to $2,000 per year, up to two years, for full time enrolled students at Jefferson State Community College or Lawson State Community College who are studying Computer Science or relevant CIS certificate programs, are residents of Jefferson County, and are between the ages of 17-29.
UAB
Innovate Birmingham provides scholarships up to $2,000 per year for full time juniors and seniors at UAB majoring in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Management Information Systems who completed their Associate's degrees at Jefferson State or Lawson State, transferred through dual enrollment, and are residents of Jefferson County.
Innovate Birmingham also offers scholarships worth up to $1,000 per year for Blazing Start Scholars who are Computer Science .
